Dr Wayne Watson

School Board Consultant, Non-Voting Member, Wayne’s background is one of developing educational systems that have had a positive impact on the quality of life for contiguous communities. As a “leader- follower” he has served as chancellor of one of the largest community colleges systems, president of community colleges and a university. Being a member of the Community Engagement Advisory Committee is important to him because it provides an opportunity for “fresh eyes” and an unbiased perspective to review plans, hopes and aspirations of previous boards, community and state offices as it relates specifically to the Benton Harbor Areas Schools and ultimately the socio -economic sustainable health of ‘The Greater Benton Harbor’.
