Algonquin Pathway
The nonmotorized Algonquin Pathway wanders through a mix of hardwood and conifer forests, traversing along a network of small ridges. Enjoy the beautiful views atop the small ridges looking out into the many open bogs. Located in Chippewa County, just 5 miles west of Sault Ste. Marie.
All nine miles of trail are groomed for cross-country skiing during the winter months. The two-mile loop, closest to the parking lot, is lighted during the cross-country ski season from dusk until 11 p.m. daily.
Bicycles are allowed on all nine miles of the pathway.
