Fred Meijer Clinton-Ionia-Shiawassee Trail

Embark on a diverse 42-mile adventure along the Fred Meijer Clinton-Ionia-Shiawassee Trail, connecting the vibrant communities of Ionia and Owosso.

Completed in 2015, this thoughtfully designed trail features a unique blend of surfaces. You'll find smooth pavement through charming towns like Muir, Pewamo, Fowler, St. Johns and Ovid, while rural stretches boast crushed limestone surfaces.

Your journey begins at the picturesque Prairie Creek bridge just east of Ionia and culminates west of Owosso at Smith Road. An easy-to-follow, signed bike route ensures seamless access to the amenities and attractions of downtown Owosso.

This trail is owned by the Michigan Department of Transportation and is operated and maintained by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
