Explore 9 miles of looped scenic trails in Dickinson County. Wind through rolling hills, dense forests and open fields. Keep an eye out for wildlife, especially near the berry bushes and Mitchell Creek. Enjoy views of Lost Lake and take advantage of the trailhead's amenities, including a restroom, ample parking and a warming shelter.

Located in beautiful Dickinson County, the trailhead is just 16 miles from Iron Mountain (7 miles off of M95 on Merriman truck trail). 

Although cross-country skiing is a popular activity on the trail, it's not groomed.

This pathway offers 9 miles of back country skiing with rolling hills and a verity of terrain. The trail is usually ungroomed and has a warming shelter at the second trail marker intersection.

Several varieties of wildlife can be seen from this pathway, including whitetail deer, black bear, fox, rabbit and many other small game animals. It's also a great spot for bird watching because of the wide verity of Northland birds.
