Pine Baron Pathway
Located near Gaylord in Otsego County, the 6.25-mile Pine Baron Pathway takes visitors through a beautifully dense forest. Four loops wind through a forest of hardwoods and pines and only involve a few minor changes in elevation.
This pathway is most popular in winter when it is groomed as a single-track cross-country ski trail.
The trailhead is 5 miles southwest of Gaylord via M-32 West, South Townline Road, Milbocker Road and Lone Pine Road.
Trail activities
Cross-country skiing
All 6.25 miles of the trail are groomed for cross-country skiing during the winter months.
Hiking
Mountain biking
All 15 miles of trail are open to mountain biking. The trail is not groomed for fat-tire biking in winter, and bikers are asked to stay off tracks groomed for cross-country skiing.
