Embark on a 2-mile adventure through the Mackinaw State Forest near the Charlevoix-Cheboygan-Otsego counties border. This two-loop trail is perfect for hiking, biking and once the snowfalls, you’ll find the perfect spot to cross-country ski or snowshoe.

  • You'll encounter tranquil cedar swamps and a babbling Spring Brook on the first 1.5-mile loop.
  • You'll find breathtaking ridgetop views of Charlevoix County on the second, .5-mile loop.

Although cross-country skiing is a popular activity on the trail, it's not groomed.
