Thunder Valley Equestrian Trail, located south of Marquette in the Upper Peninsula, boasts 13.3 miles (one way) of a stacked looped system for horseback riding. The trail provides more of a single-track experience, especially on the northeast and southwest loops. The diverse terrain features a mostly dense forest cover and considerable elevation changes.
There is a trail that connects to the Marquette County Fairgrounds, some of which follows county roads with minimal vehicle traffic, from the main looped system. Ample truck and trailer parking is available at the trailhead. There are hitching rails and a vault toilet.
