Explore history on this easy-to-navigate 1.6-mile trail following the Laughing Whitefish River in the Escanaba River State Forest. This unique path offers a glimpse into the past, guiding you through the remnants of Tyoga, a historic logging town that thrived from 1905 to1908. Interpretive signs reveal the town's story, and keen-eyed hikers may spot traces of its former existence. Be aware of some wet areas along the trail.
The trailhead is 3.5 miles north of Deerton via Deerton and North Point roads.
