The MI Choice Waiver program provides Medicaid-covered long term care services in a home or residential setting for beneficiaries meeting the medical/functional criteria for nursing facility level of care.  Services are provided through MI Choice waiver agents .

The Michigan Department of Community Health (MDCH) is beginning the process to renew the MI Choice waiver program application. The current application expires on September 30, 2012. This marks the twentieth year of providing home and community-based supports and services through this program. This renewal represents an opportunity to update the program to better address the needs and preferences of the population it serves. MI Choice stakeholder meetings are set as follows:
