    Assessing School Community Needs

    The needs assessment should be directed toward analyzing a variety of data associated with the well-being of the whole child, including classroom and school environment, disciplinary policies and procedures, and access to mental health services within the school and community.

    Mental Health Planning and Evaluation Template Survey - A tool from the National Assembly on School-Based Health Care (NASBHC), to assess and improve the quality of mental health services delivered within school-based settings.

    Michigan Profile for Healthy Youth (MiPHY) - A free, on-line student self-report survey to collect local-level (school/district) data on risk behaviors, including mental health.

    Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) - Access state-level student self-report survey results on risk behaviors, including mental health.
