Recruit and Support Foster and Adoptive Families
In Michigan, there are nearly 13,000 children in foster care and 300 children who still need an adoptive family. To ensure that these children are raised in loving, nurturing homes we are turning to our faith communities to help us identify and recruit families who will provide these children with an opportunity to succeed.
You can help these children by:
- Hosting a forum at your church to learn more about how you and your congregation can help.
- Spreading the word about the need for foster and adoptive families in your bulletins, services and website. Direct your congregation to www.michigan.gov/HopeForAHome to learn more.
- Sharing your story. If you're already doing great things around foster care and adoption, we want to hear about it.
