Special Announcement of newly implemented 1-800 line to report illegal or suspicious gambling:

Today the Gaming Control Board posted a toll free number on it's website for the public to report illegal or suspicious gambling.  Information can be provided anonymously by phone or by accessing their web page.  Complaints & tips will be investigated by the Gaming Control Board and other partner agencies depending on the nature of the tip.  Other agencies that are participating in the follow-up are Michigan State Police, Department of Treasury, Lottery and Lottery Charitable Gaming, Liquor Control Commission and the Attorney General's office.  Eventually all of these agency websites will have a link to submit email tips and the number posted.   The phone number to report illegal or suspicious gambling is 1-888-314-2682.

Detroit Casinos Revenues Down for September by 2.4% compared to the same month last year.  Greektown Revenues up 11.82% compared to last month.


Detroit Casino Revenues & Wagering Taxes for September.

The Michigan Gaming Control Board reports today that the aggregate revenue and taxes for all 3 Detroit casinos for the month of September, 2009 were down by 2.4% compared to the same month last year and also down by 7.3% compared to last month (August 2009).

Revenue for MGM Grand Detroit and MotorCity Casino were down by 6.48%, 7.33% respectively, whereas Greektown was up by 11.82% compared to the same month last year. The market shares for MGM, MotorCity and Greektown for the month of September were 41%, 32% and 27% respectively.
