What Happens When You Have or Are Exposed to COVID-19
If you test positive for COVID-19 or if you are exposed, you may receive a call or letter from your local health department case investigators and contact tracers or MDHHS contact tracers with directions.
Even if you do not receive a call or letter right away, it is important that you immediately take steps to get the care you need and avoid giving COVID-19 to people around you.
If you need assistance staying home or getting resources such as food at home, dial 2-1-1.
If you are having a medical emergency, dial 9-1-1. Tell the emergency dispatcher and doctor you tested positive for COVID-19.
