In an effort to encourage more people to share information about homelessness in Michigan, the Campaign to End Homelessness has created these images that can be shared via social media.

Did you know that 1 in 3 tenants in 2022 faced eviction without financial or legal assistance? Did you know among Medicaid recipients, people experiencing homelessness were hospitalized three times more often than their housed peers for uncontrolled diabetes in 2022.

Did you know in the 2021-2022 school year, 81% of all students graduated in 4 years while only 56% of homeless high school students graduated in 4 years. Did you know despite their greater health needs, only 37% of youth experiencing homelessness reported seeing a doctor or nurse in the last 12 months compared to 76% of housed youth.

Did you know nationally, 36% of women and 26% of men have experienced intimate partner violence. However, 45% of Black women and 40% of Black men have experienced intimate partner violence. Did you know 55% of homeless Veterans reported having at least one disability.
The Michigan Campaign to End Homelessness would like to extend a special thank you to the 300+ statewide stakeholders who supported the data collection and analysis, and provided their knowledge and expertise to this Action Plan. Did you know the average length of homelessness was 77 days in 2022.
Did you know Black people experienced homelessness longer than any other racial group with an average of 86 days in 2022. Did you know 43% of homeless Veterans reported being homeless for the first time in 2022.
Did you know there was a 37% increase in eviction filings in 2022 compared to 2021. Did you know in the 2021-2022 school year, 81% of all students graduated in 4 years while only 56% of homeless high school students graduated in 4 years.
