This equestrian-friendly campground features a spacious group camping area and is set amongst oaks and jack pines. The campground is often used by equestrians riding the Shore-to-Shore Trail. The trail stretches east-west from Empire to Oscoda with two additional northern and southern spur trails, and is located 9.2 miles southeast of Grayling via M-72 East, I-75 South and West 4 Mile Road.

The rustic campground accommodates tents and trailers with a maximum capacity of 200 individuals (approximately 50 wheeled vehicles).

This campground is maintained with the help of the Michigan Trail Riders Association

This campground provides access to state land open to hunting. Firearm hunting is not allowed within 450 feet of an occupied dwelling.

This rustic campground is open all year; however, the campground and seasonal roads are not plowed.
