Little Lake State Forest Campground
This rustic campground is situated on the east side of Little Lake and is shaded by upland hardwoods and lowland conifers. There is a small beach area centrally located in the campground. Little Lake offers opportunities for fishing and paddling.
There are 16 sites for tent, small trailer and large trailer use. Campsites 6, 8, and 12 are pull through sites suitable for large trailers. This is a "carry-in, carry-out" unit. Trash barrels are not provided. Please help keep the campground clean and take camping refuse to dumpsters located at the Gwinn Field Office. The campground is located 5 miles east of Gwinn via M-35 South and Little Lake Road.
What to expect, finding a site
These rustic campgrounds offer stunning river and lakefront settings, perfect for fishing, boating, and paddling. Here's what you can expect:
- No reservations. Sites available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- There are vault toilets.
- Potable (drinking) water is available from a hand-pump well.
- No electrical available.
- Overnight fees ($20 for most sites) and registration procedures are posted at the information kiosk at each campground.
- Camping is limited to a 15-day maximum stay.
- One camping unit and six people are allowed per site.

A boat launch is located on Little Lake.
Fishing
Walleye and panfish are caught in Little Lake. Nearby fishing opportunities include Bass Lake (4 miles southwest) and Wilson Lake (3.5 miles north).
Hunting
This campground provides access to state land open to hunting. Firearm hunting is not allowed within 450 feet of an occupied dwelling. Learn more about hunting.

G Route North ORV Trail is 5 miles west of the campground.
Paddling
Explore Little Lake from the campground. Carry-in access is located approximately 20 yards from the parking area.
