This rustic campground is located on the west side of Burt Lake. The campground offers excellent boat access and a sandy shoreline. There is a large day-use parking lot directly adjacent to the campground, which provides parking for boaters and day visitors. The campsites are wooded and private. There is a large grassy day-use area across from the campground, and a narrow sandy shoreline.
There are 35 sites for tent, small trailer and large trailer use. The campground is located four miles east of Brutus via East Brutus Road and Maple Bay Road.
What to expect, finding a site
These rustic campgrounds offer stunning river and lakefront settings, perfect for fishing, boating, and paddling. Here's what you can expect:
- No reservations. Sites available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- There are vault toilets.
- Potable (drinking) water is available from a hand-pump well.
- No electrical available.
- Overnight fees ($20 for most sites) and registration procedures are posted at the information kiosk at each campground.
- Camping is limited to a 15-day maximum stay.
- One camping unit and six people are allowed per site.

Panfish, largemouth and small-mouth bass, pike, walleye, muskie, perch and trout can be caught in Burt Lake.
Hunting
This campground provides access to state land open to hunting. Firearm hunting is not allowed within 450 feet of an occupied dwelling.
Paddling
Explore Burt Lake from the campground. Carry-in access is located approximately 25 yards from the parking area or in the campground at the grassy, day-use area.
Picnic area
There is a day-use area along the shore of Burt Lake, between the lake and campground.
