Reedsburg Dam State Forest Campground

This rustic campground is located along the Muskegon River and the Reedsburg Dam. The campground provides excellent opportunities for boating and fishing. There are 47 sites for tent and small trailer use.

The campground is located 5 miles northwest of Houghton Lake via M-55 and County Road 300.

To register for a campsite, you must use the phone number or website provided at the campground. You can register no earlier than 8 a.m. on the day of your arrival. Once you have registered, your campsite must be set up and occupied, or your permit may be revoked. Please note that we do not accept advance payments or reservations. Mastercard, Visa, Discover, check and cash accepted. Additional instructions posted at campground.

Once you've registered, grab a hang tag. Then, write your site #, due-out date and registration booking number at the bottom. Clip the tag to your site post before setting up camp

Recreation Passport required

A Recreation Passport (park pass) is required for vehicle entry into all state park and forest campgrounds.

Panfish and bass are caught in the Muskegon River. Other nearby fishing opportunities include Houghton Lake (5 miles east) and Higgins Lake (11 miles northeast).

This campground provides access to state land open to hunting. Firearm hunting is not allowed within 450 feet of an occupied dwelling.
