Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) Grants

The Juvenile Justice Grant Unit, directed by federal mandates and a committee appointed by the governor, funds a wide array of delinquency program initiatives. These include:

  • Community policing.
  • Community reintegration.
  • Gender specific (female) programs.
  • Community based programs.
  • Prevention.
  • Minority over-representation (MOR).
  • Disproportionate minority confinement (DMC) programs.

In recent years, the dual focus of funding has been to address disproportionate minority confinement and minority over-representation issues through developing primary prevention programs for minority youth.
