How to become licensed as a resident producer


How to initially become licensed:

  • Prelicensing(original, signed course completion certificate required for Accident & Health, Life, Property, Casualty, Personal Lines) Exam must be taken initially within twelve months from the certificate date of course completion.

  • Electronic Resident Licensing (ERL) application. Application is good for six months from entry into our database. If exam is not passed within six months, individual must reschedule exam and submit new prelicensing education certificate (if necessary), application and fees. For questions relating to electronic application submission, contact NIPR Customer Service at 816/783-8468.
