Justice Training Fund

• About the Fund
In October of 1982, two laws were enacted that initiated a statewide criminal justice in-service training effort in Michigan.

Public Act 301 of 1982 created the Michigan justice training fund and the vehicle to collect revenue for the fund. Each district court levies an assessment of $5.00 for each civil infraction determination, except for a parking violation or a violation for which the total fine and costs imposed are $10.00 or less. This revenue is transmitted by the court to the state treasury for deposit into the justice training fund.
