Veterans: If you are looking for a job, come to one of our Veteran Job Fairs. You should also register on the Michigan Talent Bank and contact your local Veterans' Employment Specialist. To view our current newsletters with information for veterans, click on Veteran Employment & Training News.

Employers: If you think you have high performance standards for your employees, ask military veterans about their former employer's expectations.  We can put you in contact with these men and women at one of our Veteran Job Fairs or you can contact a local Veterans' Employment Specialist, who can also assist you. Waterford Career Center/DELEG Career Fair
November 25, 2009 - 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Oakland Schools, 2111 Pontiac Lake, Waterford, MI
The Waterford Career Center and the State of Michigan's Department of Energy, Labor & Economic Growth are working together to host a Career Fair at the Oakland Schools on November 25th.  Interested employers with current vacancies may complete this registration form to register.  This event is free to employers and job seekers, and is open to the public.  For more information, please contact Cathy Sanchez at

Homeless Veterans' Stand Downs
Stand Downs focus on assisting homeless veterans with needed services, including food, personal care, medical screenings, counseling, and employment assistance.  For a list of scheduled stand downs, visit the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans web site.

Transition Assistance Program (TAP) Classes
