    National Registry Transition Information

For those Michigan licensed EMS providers who wish to maintain their National Registry Certification (NREMT) for the renewal cycle in 2015 and 2016, you are required to meet or exceed the NREMT education standards.

Due to Michigan's higher education standards and scope of practice for MFRs and EMTs, you are exempt from the requirement to take a state approved National Registry transition course.  Please print the Department Memo below and present to the National Registry upon renewal of your NREMT certification.

5/15/13 Memo to ALL Nationally Registered MFRs and EMTs

For those licensed at the Paramedic level and wishing to maintain their National Registry Certification, you are required to take the state approved 15 hours transition course.
