Please see the following announcements regarding the courier schedule change for Juneteenth recognized on Friday, June 19, 2026:
1. For Lower Peninsula hospitals, STAT courier will be following the Sunday schedule on Friday, June 19, 2026.
2. For Upper Peninsula hospitals, UPS will not be affected by Juneteenth.
3. NBS Follow-up Holiday Schedule and main telephone number: 866-673-9939 will be closed on Friday, June 19, 2026.

Please check your newborn screening (NBS) card inventory for first and repeat sample cards that are due to expire in October and use those cards first. The expiration date is the middle right side of the NBS card. Cards with an October 31, 2026, expiration date may be used through October 31, 2026. Specimens collected on an expired card will be unsatisfactory and a repeat collection will be required.
