The Michigan Commission on Services to the Aging, and the Michigan Office of Services to the Aging (OSA), will conduct a public hearing on April 16, 2010 at the Ramada Lansing Hotel & Conference Center, 7501 West Saginaw in Lansing.

The public hearing will be conducted to obtain citizen input regarding issues of concern to older adults in our state. It will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in conjunction with a meeting of the Commission.

OSA is the designated state office on aging for Michigan. The OSA Director and members of the Commission on Services to the Aging are appointed by the Governor with the consent of the Michigan Senate.

Citizens of all ages who are concerned with transportation, nutrition, housing, long term care, health, independence, scams, employment, volunteer opportunities, and other issues important to older adults, are invited to attend to voice their concerns and share their ideas.

In addition to comments made at the hearing, written testimony can be submitted by May 7, 2010 to the Office of Services to the Aging, PO Box 30676, Lansing, 48909-8176, or faxed to 517/373-4092.
