MDCH Tuberculosis Program
Welcome to the MDCH TB Control Program website! Within this site, you will find information regarding education and training, TB statistics, guidelines for health care professionals and basic TB information for the public. If you have questions regarding the content or if you are unable to find information, please contact the TB Control Program at 517-335-8165.
The MDCH TB Control Program collaborates with public and private health care professionals to promote effective diagnosis, treatment, and management of persons affected by tuberculosis and to prevent the spread tuberculosis in the community.
What's New
A TB Nurse Case Management training is scheduled for Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Ingham County Health Department. The target audience is public health nurses and communicable disease nurses involved in TB Case Management and TB Control. Please see the flyer and registration form for complete details.
A World TB Day event was held on Friday, March 23, 2012 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. There were approximately 80 people in attendance. The powerpoint presentations have been posted below for reference.

Dr. Dana Kissner, Director of Clinical TB Services at the Detroit Department of Health and Wellness Promotion, has developed a presentation to provide inpatient guidance for providers to improve the diagnosis, initial management, and reporting of TB suspects and TB cases (laboratory confirmed cases, clinical cases, and provider diagnosed cases).
