Basic REID and Advanced REID Training

The Michigan State Police will be hosting John E. Reid and Associates for the instruction of Interview and Interrogation.  More than 150,000 professionals in law enforcement and government have attended this program since it was first offered in 1974. 

Basic REID Course February 7 - 9, 2012:

  • Interview and Interrogation preparation
  • Behavior Symptom Analysis
  • REID Behavioral Analysis Interview TM
  • The REID Nine Steps of Interrogation

Cost for this training is:

$465, which includes tuition, lunches and breaks
$535, which includes tuition, lodging and meals (lodging is based on double occupancy)

Class begins at 10:00 a.m. on February 7.

Advanced REID Course February 10, 2012:

  • Stages of the Interrogation
  • Profiling Suspects
  • Identifying Motives
  • Juvenile Interrogations
  • Interrogation on Multiple Crimes
  • Playing One Against the Other
  • Interrogation on Guilty Knowledge

Cost for this training is:

$190, which includes tuition, lunches and breaks
$210 for students who just completed Basic REID and need lodging February 9 (lodging is based on double occupancy)

Class begins at 9:00 a.m. on February 10.


Class size is limited.  Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Registrations are to be completed through MI-TRAIN.
