Effective 03/05/26: Scam Alert for Michigan Workers. We are aware of a scam that has occurred in two other states in which individuals are pretending to represent those states' Workers' Disability Compensation system or the courts. Workers are being contacted, sometimes by phone, email or even video calls, and told they must pay money to receive workers' compensation benefits or claim settlements. You should never be asked to pay money, fees or deposits before you receive workers' compensation benefits. If you receive a message that doesn't feel right, do not send money or personal information. Verify it with the Michigan Workers' Disability Compensation Agency. Effective 02/11/26: State of Michigan’s Workers’ Disability Compensation Agency launched a new interface, utilizing MiLogin, for the Health Care Services (HCS) Online Reporting System.

Effective 09/02/2025: The Okemos hearing site relocated to the downtown Lansing Ottawa State Office Building located at 611 W. Ottawa, 2nd Floor, Lansing, MI 48933, until further notice. This will impact ALL Okemos cases. You may contact the hearing site staff at 517-284-8944 for further information. Accessible parking is available and requires at least a two-day notice by completing the Visitor Accessible Parking Request prior to arrival.

This Act was first adopted in 1912 and provides compensation to workers who suffer an injury on the job and protects employers' liability. The mission of the Workers' Disability Compensation Agency is to efficiently administer the Act and provide prompt, courteous and impartial service to all customers.
