  • Keyword
  • Subject
  • Headnote text
  • Opinion number
  • Opinion date

Dates can be formatted as January 2, 1963 or 1963-01-02. Search only numerals for an opinion number, i.e. 4027.

Elements of an Opinion

A published Attorney General opinion has a standard format. The elements present in every opinion are

  • Keywords
  • Subjects
  • Headnote
  • Opinion number
  • Opinion date
  • Name of Requester
  • Body of the opinion

Browse Reports

Another option for finding an opinion is to browse the Michigan Attorney General Biennial Reports.
