Cheboygan State Park

Cheboygan state park entrance

Cheboygan State Park

Take I-75 to exit 326, go east straight through the town of Cheboygan to US-23, continue three miles east of town to park entrance on north side of the road.

Year-round adventures await at Cheboygan State Park. Explore the trout-filled waters of Elliot Creek, relax on the family-friendly beach or discover miles of scenic coastline. There are plenty of well-marked trails that provide access to scenic Lake Huron vistas and glimpses of rare wildflowers.

Uncover the park's history at the Cheboygan Point Light site. The site features the foundation remains of the 1859 lighthouse. This shore-based structure replaced an earlier, short-lived pier lighthouse built in 1851, and served under the United States Lighthouse Service until 1930, when the property became part of the state park.

Cheboygan State Park is your gateway to the Huron Shores Heritage Route, a stunning 200-mile drive along US-23 showcasing breathtaking views of Lake Huron.
