Antigen Testing
Antigen Testing
Rapid antigen tests are a quick and easy way to diagnose infection with SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. These tests are less invasive than other diagnostic tests and return results within 10-30 minutes. COVID-19 antigen tests can be used as a tool for widespread screening, allowing an additional measure of safety to return to daily activities. Learn more about COVID-19 antigen tests here.
Michigan Department of Health and Human Services has created several programs to make rapid antigen testing available in the community. Schools, long-term care facilities, neighborhood sites, and others may all be eligible to bring rapid antigen testing to their facilities at no or low cost.
