COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements for CMS Certified Facilities and Healthcare Workers
As of May 11, 2023 the Biden-Harris Administration has ended the “COVID-19 vaccine requirements for Federal employees, Federal contractors, and international air travelers. Additionally, HHS and DHS announced that they will start the process to end their vaccination requirements for Head Start educators, CMS-certified healthcare facilities, and certain noncitizens at the land border.”
Additional information on this can be found on The Biden-Harris Administration Will End COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements for Federal Employees, Contractors, International Travelers, Head Start Educators, and CMS-Certified Facilities | The White House webpage or this CMS Memo.
Please note: While the State of Michigan strongly encourages individuals to be up to date on their COVID-19 vaccine, a vaccine mandate for certain groups and/or hiring purposes from MDHHS has never been in place. Some employers may have specific requirements for employment at their place of business.
