Recidivism Rate

The department has a recidivism rate of 21%, the lowest rate on state record. The rate measures those who are three years from their parole date and records how many individuals have reoffended and returned to prison within that timeframe.

Population Rates

The prison population has decreased 36% since its high in 2007. The Parole population has decreased 60% since its 2009 peak and the probation population has decreased nearly 46% since its 2010 peak.
