Futures for Frontliners
If you enroll and attend your local, in-district community college, you’ll be able to get your degree tuition-free. That means you won’t pay any tuition, contact hours, or mandatory fees out of pocket. Please note, there may be expenses not covered to consider – for example, some classes/courses may have course fees associated that are not covered by the Future for Frontliners scholarship. See Are there other costs of going back to school?
The cost of attending community college will depend on whether you are an in-district or out-of-district student:
Contact a financial aid advisor at your community college for an exact cost.
While Futures for Frontliners makes tuition affordable, going back to school still has other costs. Here are some of the additional costs you should plan for:
To help you estimate these costs, each community college offers a “net price calculator” on their website. Check List of Colleges to find your local community college website. These calculators estimate the costs for housing, books and supplies, and personal expenses such as transportation. These estimates are based on full-time enrollment. If you’re planning to enroll part time, remember that the costs will be half of what the calculator estimates.
