My scholarship application has been accepted. Now what?
In the email, it should also have let you know that you still have a few required steps in front of you before you receive funds from this scholarship:
- Apply at your local community college.
- Complete the FAFSA federal aid application. Please note: If you are planning on attending community college in Winter, Spring, or Summer 2020 you will need to submit both a 2020-2021 and a 2021-2022 FAFSA. If you are planning on starting Fall 2021, you will need to submit a 2021-22 FAFSA. If you already have your FAFSA(s) completed for the semester you are planning to enroll in, you can skip this step.
- Enroll in at least six credits in an associate degree or industry-recognized certificate program starting in the winter, spring, summer, or fall of 2021.
Be sure to complete all these necessary steps as soon as possible to receive your scholarship. For more information about these steps, you can check out our College Checklist.
If you’re not sure where you want to apply to or have a question about enrolling in a college’s classes, visit List of Colleges to find the website and contact information for each college.
