- resident within the Lake Michigan College District,
- including Berrien County, South Haven Public Schools District (in Van Buren and Allegan Counties), and Covert Township (in Van Buren County)
- individual eligible for educational assistance (e.g. Vocational Rehabilitation, Montgomery GI Bill - Active Duty Program), or
- resident of on-campus housing
