Main park entrance: Follow M-116 to the end. Large vehicles not recommended on Piney Ridge Road.

Ludington State Park, situated between the 5,000-acre Hamlin Lake and 7 miles of sandy Lake Michigan shoreline, features scenic sand dunes, three campgrounds, the iconic Big Sable Point Lighthouse, 21 miles of marked trails and more. A 1-mile stretch of the Big Sable River runs through the park and provides excellent opportunities for fishing, paddling and tubing.

Reach the iconic Big Sable Point Lighthouse via a 1.8-mile (one-way) sand-and-gravel Lighthouse Path, accessible by foot or bike. While the path offers little shade and can be challenging, especially in warm weather, the reward is a breathtaking view of Lake Michigan.

Enjoy the lakeside town of Ludington, family-friendly downtown Ludington and the Historic White Pine Village. Explore everything there is to offer at PureLudington.com.
