Lakeport State Park

The park's day-use operating dates are Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Lakeport State Park, located 10 miles north of Port Huron, features a little over a mile of rocky Lake Huron shoreline. The park is home to a modern campground, playground, a buoyed swim area and much more. A pedestrian overpass connects the two sides of the park, separated by US-25.

Location info: The day-use area and campground are separated by the village of Lakeport, with the two areas being about a mile apart. The campground is located at 7605 Lakeshore Road and the day-use area is located at 43.105475, -82.488804.

Simple Adventures – located in the north campground – sells food, souvenirs, camping supplies, park-specific clothing, ice cream, candy, firewood and more.

The entire park is open to metal detecting. Please review applicable regulations. Only registered campers can metal detect in campgrounds.

Seasonal naturalists offer nature-based programming at the park during the summer. Check the park's explorer program calendar for dates, locations and topics.

There's a picnic area in the Franklin Delano Roosevelt (south) day-use area.

Picnic shelter

A picnic shelter located in the Franklin Delano Roosevelt day-use area, one mile south of the campground along M-25, is available to rent for group activities and family reunions. The shelter can be reserved up to a year in advance by calling 1-800-447-2757 or visiting midnrreservations.com.
