Maybury State Park
Maybury State Park
Just 25 miles northwest of downtown Detroit, Maybury State Park offers a serene 1,000-acre escape. Discover rolling hills, open meadows and winding trails open to hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding and more. Enjoy an accessible playground, a fishing pond, a youth group campground and and the park's riding stable.
The park's history is as rich as its natural beauty: acquired by the state in 1971, it was once the site of the Maybury Sanatorium.
