This lush, shaded campground sits on the banks of the Boardman River offering excellent paddling, fishing and bird watching opportunities. There are 30 sites for tent and small-to-medium trailer use. As a designated Blue Ribbon trout stream, the river offers unparalleled fishing opportunities, and its Natural River status ensures its continued preservation.
This state forest campground is a stop along the Shore-to-Shore Trail, a 420-mile trail system open to hiking and horseback riding, that stretches east-west from Empire to Oscoda with two additional northern and southern spur trails. The Michigan Trail Riders Association assists with maintenance of the trail. Visit the MTRA website to view maps or call 989-723-1425 for more information.
The campground is located 12 miles southwest of Williamsburg via Williamsburg, Supply and Brown Bridge roads.

This campground provides access to state land open to hunting. Firearm hunting is not allowed within 450 feet of an occupied dwelling.

The operation of an ORV and snowmobile between the campground and nearby trails is allowed. There are many miles of county roads and designated ORV trails in this area, including the 63.4-mile Grand Traverse Motorcycle Trail (1 mile south).

What to expect, finding a site
These rustic campgrounds offer stunning river and lakefront settings, perfect for fishing, boating, and paddling. Here's what you can expect:
- No reservations. Sites available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- There are vault toilets.
- Potable (drinking) water is available from a hand-pump well.
- No electrical available.
- Overnight fees ($20 for most sites) and registration procedures are posted at the information kiosk at each campground.
- Camping is limited to a 15-day maximum stay.
- One camping unit and six people are allowed per site.
