2026 Statewide Flooding
Gov. Gretchen Whitmer extended the activation of the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) from the Cheboygan Lock and Dam Complex to statewide on April 14, 2026, as water levels rose, threatening dams and severe flooding across the state.
The SEOC was deactivated on Friday, May 8, 2026, for the statewide severe flooding and Cheboygan Lock and Dam Complex.
