The Michigan Community Service Commission is pleased to announce an AmeriCorps funding opportunity for the 2012-2013 program year. Michigan's AmeriCorps is a national service program, similar to a domestic Peace Corps, that involves individuals (members) "Getting Things Done" in their communities.

National Service has long played an important role in American history. Over the years it has grown into a movement that boasts over 60,000 active, enrolled members annually, and engages thousands of additional Americans in service in their local communities.

The MCSC and National Service logos are available for programs to use. As we further our mission of encouraging Michigan residents to volunteer, it is our hope that these logos will become synonymous with this effort.
