    September 11 National Day of Service & RemembranceSeptember 11 National Day of Service & Remembrance: Honoring through Service As a positive way to forever remember and pay tribute to the victims of September 11, honor those that rose in service in response to the attacks, and to remind people of the importance of working more closely together to improve our world, the Michigan Community Service Commission invites to you volunteer in your community on the 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance.

    • 2013 September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance Mini-Grants Benefit Veterans and Military Families Through Service The Michigan Community Service Commission (MCSC), Michigan Nonprofit Association (MNA), Volunteer Centers of Michigan (VCM), Michigan Campus Compact (MCC), and The LEAGUE Michigan, with support from the Connect Michigan Alliance Endowment Fund and the Corporation for National and Community Service, announced the distribution of $8,810 in mini-grant funds to support 2013 September 11 (9/11) Day of Service and Remembrance projects in Michigan this fall.

    Global Youth Service Day

    2013 GYSD logo2013 Global Youth Service Day The Michigan Community Service Commission and Youth Service America will mobilize youth across the state through volunteerism this April as part of the 2013 Global Youth Service Day. This annual opportunity, held on April 26, 27, and 28, encourages children and youth to address the world's most critical issues by partnering with families, schools, community and faith-based organizations, businesses, and government.

    • 2013 Global Youth Service Day Mini-Grants Engage Youth in Service Across Michigan The Michigan Community Service Commission, Michigan Nonprofit Association, Volunteer Centers of Michigan, The League Michigan, and Michigan Campus Compact, with support from Youth Service America and the Corporation for National and Community Service, announced the distribution of more than $10,000 in mini-grant funds to support 2013 Global Youth Service Day (GYSD) projects across the state this April.
