Doing Business with the State

SIGMA Vendor Self-Service (VSS) provides service to businesses, individual payees, and grantees (collectively referred to as vendors) doing business with the state. You can easily see and maintain your information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, outside of standard maintenance periods through a secure connection.

Who Uses Vendors

Businesses

Businesses may have multiple users to update information, respond to RFPs, see all payments made by the State (by check or direct deposit), and receive electronic communications. You must be registered to respond to an RFP. 
Who Uses Individuals

Individual Payee

Individual payees can maintain their address and bank account information, view all payments made by the State (by check or direct deposit), and receive electronic notifications regarding important account information. 
Who Uses Grantees

Grantees

Grantees can maintain their information, such as addresses, bank accounts, grant awards and more, as well as have multiple users with different roles to review or update information and receive electronic communications.

Add Business Types to your account to become eligible for various programs, i.e., Michigan Principal Location, Qualified Opportunity Zone by Principal Location, HUBZone Business.

In-Application Screen Guides

In-Application Screen Guides, described below, can be accessed by logging into SIGMA VSS and clicking the Advantage Assistant pop-out box in the lower right corner of the screen.

  • Add Commodity Codes to your account to receive email notifications for solicitations
  • Update Banking / EFT Information to receive direct deposits to your preferred account
  • Edit a Solicitation Response to an open solicitation and submit
  • Review a Solicitation Response Status to learn more about your responses
  • Add a Business Location to your account to add another bank / EFT account, another branch location, etc.
  • View Payment Details to learn which agency is responsible for the payment, check / EFT number, payment status
  • Update Address to change the address associated with the account
  • Update 1099 Address to change the account address for tax mailing purposes only

Activate Your Account if you’re currently registered and cannot remember your login, you will need to contact the Help Desk. You will need to activate your account to respond to opportunities, see financial transactions, or update your address and personal information.

View Payment Details to learn which agency / department is responsible for the payment, check / EFT number, payment status.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I add/update the banking information in my account?

Once logged into your SIGMA VSS account, click My Account from the Account Summary widget. Scroll down to the EFT Information section. Click Edit.

When updating my banking/EFT information, what is an ABA number?

Another name for ABA number is your bank’s routing ID number.

How do I find information about my payments?


Payments received can be viewed by clicking the Checks/EFTs quick link from the home page. View upcoming payments by clicking the Scheduled Payments quick link on the home page.

Who do I contact with payment questions?

SIGMA provides technical support for viewing your payments. Contact the agency responsible for providing your payment with questions. To identify the agency, view payment details. Agency contact information can now be readily found on the login page carousel of VSS.

Can I update my banking/Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) information?

If you have Full Access or are the Account Administrator, you can make changes to your account. With these access levels, you can update your banking/EFT information by clicking My Account from the home page. Tip: leverage the Advantage Assistant pop-out on the right hand side of the screen to follow a step-by-step screen guide. There are two screen guides: one for healthcare providers, and another for non-healthcare vendors.

What is an ABA number?


An ABA number is your bank or financial institution’s 9-digit routing number. 

Am I a healthcare provider?

A health care provider is an individual health professional, or a health facility organization licensed to provide health care diagnosis and treatment services including medication, surgery, and medical devices. If this applies to you or your business, select yes.
