The Michigan Parole Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, March 18, 2008, to consider the possible parole of Antonio Jose Cancel, #203442. It will be at 11:00 a.m. at the T-100 Training Center, G. Robert Cotton Correctional Facility, Jackson, Michigan.
Antonio Jose Cancel is serving a Life sentence for Conspiracy to Deliver over 650 grams of Cocaine and a Life sentence for Delivery of over 650 grams of Cocaine. He was sentenced on August 28, 1989 from Wayne County.
Barbara Sampson, Chairperson of the Michigan Parole Board, will conduct the hearing under the provisions of the Lifer Law, MCLA 791.234.
By statute, prisoners serving a life sentence under MCL 333.74012A1, must serve 15, 17 ½ or 20 calendar years, based on predetermined factors, before the parole board can obtain jurisdiction.
