A public hearing to consider the possible parole of Peter Binder, #214104

The Michigan Parole and Commutation Board will hold a public hearing on Monday, November 16, 2009 to consider the possible parole of Peter Binder, #214104.  It will be at 9:00 a.m. at the Handlon Training Center, Richard Handlon Correctional Facility, Ionia, MI.

Peter Binder is serving a Life sentence for the crime of Manufacture and Delivery of Over 650 Grams of Cocaine.  He was sentenced on January 10, 1991 from Oakland County.

Barbara Sampson, Chairperson of the Michigan Parole and Commutation Board, will conduct the hearing under the provisions of the Lifer Law, MCLA 791.234.

By Statute, prisoners serving a life sentence under MCL 333.74012A1, must serve 15, 17 1/2 or 20 calendar years, based on predetermined factors, before the parole and commutation board can obtain jurisdiction.
