Governor Granholm Appoints Chair of the Employment Relations Commission

LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced the appointment of Nora Lynch as Chair of the Michigan Employment Relations Commission.
 
“Nora is an incredibly hard working individual who is devoted to serving the people of Michigan,” Granholm said.  “I know she will make an excellent chair of this commission.” 
 
Lynch, of West Bloomfield, is currently a labor arbitrator on arbitration rosters for American Arbitration Association, Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, and the Michigan Employment Relations Commission. 
 
Previously, she served as an administrative law judge for the Michigan Employment Relations Commission.  Prior to her judicial position, she worked as a legal aide to the commission.
 
Lynch earned her law degree from the Wayne State University College of Law and holds a bachelor’s of arts degree from Marygrove College.
 
This appointment is subject to confirmation by the Senate.
