Governor Granholm to Visit Benton Harbor Tuesday

LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm will be in Benton Harbor on Tuesday, August 26, where she will meet with local officials, kickoff a new housing project, transfer property to the city of Benton Harbor, and visit area schools.

Granholm will hear a progress report on the work being done by the Benton Harbor Task Force and the Citizens for Progressive Change.  She will also participate in events designed to stabilize, strengthen, and revitalize the city of Benton Harbor. 

The Governor’s schedule includes:

Meeting with local elected officials, faith leaders, co-chairs of the Citizens for Progressive Change, local members of the Governor’s Task Force
