Governor Appoints Steven Hamp to Michigan Historical Commission

LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced the appointment of Steven K. Hamp to the Michigan Historical Commission. The Commission was established to preserve and protect Michigan’s history. The appointment is subject to advice and consent of the Senate.
“Steve is a man of incredible vision and leadership,” said Granholm. “We’re absolutely privileged to tap his talents and add his name to this important commission.”
Mr. Hamp, of Ann Arbor, is president of The Henry Ford. He will be replacing Marge Greiner of Grand Rapids whose term has expired. Hamp has been appointed to represent the general public for a term expiring May 21, 2009.
