Governor's Statement Regarding "Pay for Performance" Bonuses

LANSING - Governor Granholm released the following statement today after the Michigan Civil Service Commission voted to deny her request to suspend "pay for performance" bonuses for some state management personnel:

"It is deplorable to continue bonuses for some of the state's highest paid managers while asking employees to tighten their belts."
